Sales Development Representative (SDR) EdTech and AI

Hybrid (London, UK - with 2 days in office)

We are working with a forward thinking EdTech company using technology and AI to improve how students learn and how educators support learning journeys. The product has real impact in schools and education settings and is designed to support better outcomes, not just efficiency.

The team is collaborative, thoughtful, and mission driven. They care deeply about education, value diverse perspectives, and are committed to building technology that supports a more equitable future for learners.

The opportunity

This role is for someone who wants to build a strong foundation in education sales and is comfortable being hands on from day one.

As a Sales Development Representative, you will be responsible for proactive outbound activity, including cold calling, researching schools and MATs, and engaging the right decision makers. You will play a key role in introducing schools to an AI enabled education platform and starting meaningful conversations about learning, progress, and student outcomes.

This is not a passive inbound role. You will need to understand how schools and multi academy trusts operate, who holds influence, and how buying decisions are made in education.

What you will be doing

Proactively sourcing and qualifying leads within schools, colleges, and multi academy trusts
Cold calling schools and education organisations to open new conversations
Researching school structures to identify relevant roles and decision makers, such as headteachers, senior leaders, curriculum leads, and trust level stakeholders
Engaging prospects in thoughtful conversations about their challenges and priorities
Clearly articulating the value of an AI powered EdTech solution in an education context
Booking meetings and demonstrations for the sales team and ensuring strong handover
Maintaining accurate records of outreach and activity in the CRM
Working closely with sales and marketing to refine messaging and outreach approaches
Staying informed about trends in education, assessment, and AI in learning

AI and education focus

This platform uses AI not just as a productivity tool, but as part of how learning pathways and student progress are supported.

You do not need to be technical, but you do need to understand
How AI is used in education settings
How adaptive learning, assessment, and data can support students and teachers
How to speak confidently about AI in a responsible, ethical, and practical way

Curiosity about AI and its role in education is essential.
