Why ongoing support matters in a candidate-heavy market.

In today’s job market, many strong candidates are not getting jobs, not because they lack experience, but because small mistakes add up over time.

Without ongoing support, most job seekers:
  • Apply for too many different roles and lose focus
  • Keep changing their CV without making it clearer
  • Misunderstand rejection or silence and change the wrong things
  • Lose confidence and slow down when it matters most
Ongoing support matters because job searching is not a one-off decision, it’s a sequence of decisions made over time.

The Career Strategy Programme supports you as you go:

We help you understand what the market is telling you.
We help you adjust your approach before you lose momentum.
You are not paying for information you can find online.
You are investing in clear thinking, better decisions, and guidance when things feel uncertain.

That is what helps strong candidates stay focused, get noticed, and move forward with confidence.

Why work with me

I’ve spent over a decade inside education and EdTech as a founder, recruiter, and commercial leader, so I know this market from multiple angles. After building and running an education business for 7 years, I exited and sold the business to a competitor. Since then, I’ve worked with EdTech organisations globally and stayed close to the conversations that shape hiring, growth, and talent across sales, customer success, partnerships, product, and go-to-market teams.

Because I speak with founders, hiring managers, senior decision makers, and candidates every week, I have a clear view of what gets noticed in the market, what gets ignored, and why capable professionals are often overlooked. Most people don’t need more effort, they need better positioning, sharper direction, and a clearer understanding of how their experience translates.

I believe the strongest professionals invest in the things that help them move faster and smarter: clarity, strategy, and skill. That’s exactly what this programme is designed to provide. My approach is practical, commercially grounded, and shaped by real hiring conversations and real opportunities, so you can stop guessing, start positioning yourself with confidence, and make your next move with intention.

You do not have to figure this out alone, but you need a strategy.

How the programme works

Step 1: Kick- off Session

Once you join the programme, we start with a kickoff call. We look at the logistics and how we will work together.
This includes schedules, communication, and what the process will look like.
You get a full overview of the programme and what to expect. We also set a clear plan for how to move forward. This is your starting point.

Step 2: Deep Dive and 90-Day Plan

Next, we have a 90-minute session focused on you. We go through your experience, your background, and what you want next.
From this, we create a clear 90-day plan with goals and focus areas. This becomes your direction for the job search.

Step 3: Build Momentum
We then work through the key parts of your job search.
This includes:
-understanding which roles fit you best,
- positioning your experience clearly,
- improving your CV and LinkedIn,
- learning how to network,
- preparing for interviews and practising answers.

Everything is tailored to you. As you move forward, you start gaining momentum.
More responses. More interviews.

Step 4:  Interviews and Offers

You continue through interviews with ongoing support. Some people secure roles at this stage.
Others are still interviewing but feel much more confident and prepared. At this stage you have the tools, clarity, and strategy to land the right role.

What clients say

Katie Teacher → Exploring EdTech Career

After almost a year of applying for roles without success, I felt completely stuck and overwhelmed. My CV still looked like a traditional teaching CV, and I didn’t understand why I wasn’t getting traction. Working with Emilia helped me identify the types of roles I could transition into and how to present my experience beyond the classroom. Within a few sessions I had much more clarity and confidence about my next steps.

Laura – Head Teacher → EdTech Project Manager

Stepping away from my role as a head teacher was a difficult decision, particularly during a challenging personal period. I wasn’t sure how my experience would translate outside the school environment. I now work with a global EdTech organisation supporting higher education institutions, and I’m currently working with Emilia as I explore my next opportunity within the sector.

Jenny – Teacher → Exploring Cybersecurity

Leaving teaching felt incredibly uncertain, and I didn’t know what direction to take. Through conversations and exploration, I started looking into cybersecurity and governance roles. Speaking with Emilia helped me reflect on my strengths and think more strategically about how my teaching background could translate into other sectors. It gave me the confidence to start building skills in a completely new field.

Paul – Teacher → EdTech Account Manager

I was fortunate to be offered an opportunity with an EdTech organisation that was already working with my school, which allowed me to transition from teaching into the sector. Over the past three years, I’ve grown within the company and gained valuable experience working with schools and education technology. As I now explore new opportunities in the sector, I’m working with Emilia to help position my experience and navigate the next step in my EdTech career, as I know there’s so much more I can contribute.
